Everything you need to know about GCT

The GCT is a SWBF2 tournament based around obtaining planets. The main goal is for a clan to conquer all planets and the first one to do that wins. The deadline for clans to join is August 24th. Attacks will be posted on the 26th and the official start of the matches will be on the 29th. For all the details look at the text below.

Map:

There will be a map made every week that will show all the planets.



Game Rules:
1. Matches must be at least 4v4 or more. (If neither team can get the minimum players the match will be postponed)
2. It being CTF or Conquest will determine on the map. The maps are listed below.
3. 200 tickets or 3 flags to win.
4. Special units on. (Wookie, Darkie, etc) (Tiebreaker matches are played no specials)
5. TK on.
6. No vehicles or turrets. (If found in a vehicle it will result in a automatic loss)
7. No heroes.
8. No glitching/cheating
9. Best 2/3. There will be 3 rounds to each planet attack. Two rounds played with specials. If it goes into a 1-1 tie with specials then the tiebreaker round will be played with no specials. (Defenders will get to pick the side they want in the tiebreaker match)

Tournament Rules:
1. All players must wear tags in games.
2. No joining clans multiple clans or spying on clans.
3. Clans will be expected to give us a roster of their members. If your clan gets eliminated you can’t join another clan. There will be IP checks in every match.
4. A admin will more then likely be in the server spectating but just in case screen shots must be taken of all matches to prove who won.
5. No disrespect to admins or players.

Note:
Rules may also be added, modified or removed during this tournament to provide a better tournament in future time.

Diplomacy:
1. I do not care what goes on. If clans want to make alliances that is fine to me but remember don't put to much trust into your ally, only one clan can win.

Mercenaries:
1. You are allowed to have mercs play for your team only if you are outnumbered.
2. Mercs can consist of players in a current clan of the tournament or someone not in a clan.
3. A example, if {CaC} plays {Dark} and {CaC} has 4 to {Dark}’s 3 members. {Dark} can get a player either participating in the tournament for another clan or someone not in a clan. But no {CaC} members can merc for {Dark} if it is a {CaC} vs {Dark} match.
4. Mercs must wear merc tags, example. {Dark}Merc.Bobby
5. Only 1 merc is allowed per team and match. If you are still outnumbered with your 1 merc you have to play outnumbered. If a team has 5 players and requests a 5v5 and you only have 4 you are allowed to use your 1 merc to make it 5v5.

Punishments:
1.If there is a rules broken it could lead to multiple things. Either a temporary ban from the tournament, the loss of a planet, have the ability to attack planets revoked for 1 week or disqualification.

Attacks:
1. Each week each clan will be allowed 1 attack on a planet. (This number can increase as more clans get eliminated)
2. Planets can not be double attacked, first come first serve when it comes to attacks.
3. There will be 3 rounds played during each match, 2 with specials and 1 with no specials. (Defenders pick what side they want on the tiebreaker round with no specials.)
4. Attacks must be posted by Monday each week. (For week 1 each clan must post their attacks before the start of the tournament)
5. You can only attack planets that are connected to your planets.
6. It is both clans duties to contact each other and discuss the date of when the match will be played, you have a full week to complete the match once posted on Monday.

Map pack installation:

You will need to put the maps into your addon folder inside your SWBF2 gamedata folder. I will explain how to do this for the people you do not know as I have uploaded a youtube video on how to do it.

1. I’m letting each clan pick what starting planets they want, so it will be first come first serve. Right now it is set to 2 starting planets.

Neutral Planets:
1. If a clan drops out or gets disqualified their planets will become Neutral. If this happens the planets will be given out to the clans with the least amount of planets. If there is multiple clans with the same number there will be a separate battle that will not count as a attack to determine who gets the neutral planet. This rule may change how ever, if a clan drops out and another clan wants to participate I will let the other clan take over the neutral planets.
